Equipment - Trailers
Manage and track your trailer fleet directly in QuickManage. Whether you own, lease, or work with contractors, this section helps you add, assign, and categorize all trailer units with ease. You can manually enter trailer details or use qm-GPT to save time: just upload the trailer registration, and the system will automatically fill in the form for you.
Adding a New Trailer
To add a trailer to your QuickManage account, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Equipment
Navigate to Equipment > Trailers and click Add New.
You have two ways to add a truck:
Manual Entry
AI-powered qm-GPT (Recommended)
Step 2: ✨Add via qm-GPT (Fast & Smart)
Let AI handle the data entry for you.
Trailer Entry Options
Manual Entry: Fill in all required fields like unit number, license plate, make, year, and type.
qm-GPT: Upload a clear trailer registration document (PDF or image). The system reads and auto-fills all matching fields—no manual input needed.
💡 This method saves time and reduces manual errors. Make sure the document is clear and legible.
Step 3: 📝 Add Manually
If you prefer to enter details yourself:
Field Descriptions
Operated By
➤ The company responsible for this trailer (usually auto-selected from your login).
Unit #
➤ Unique ID for internal reference (e.g., 0521, 5487).
License Plate #
➤ Full trailer plate number (numbers + state code).
In Service Date
➤ When the trailer started being used.
Make
➤ Manufacturer of the trailer (e.g., Great Dane, Transcraft, Utility).
Trailer Type
➤ Choose from Van, Reefer, Flat Bed, Step Deck, Container, Lowboy, Car Hauler.
Year
➤ Manufacturing year of the trailer.
Number of Axles
➤ Typically 2 or 3 for most commercial trailers.
Length & Height
➤ Length (in ft) and height (in feet or inches) of the trailer. Common options include 48 ft or 53 ft.
VIN #
➤ Optional, but useful for audits and identification.
Ownership Section
Ownership
➤ Identify who owns the trailer:
Company
Owner Operator’s
Contractor Owned
Purchase Type
➤ Define how the trailer is acquired:
Company Owned
Rental
Leased
Lease to Own
Equipment Provider
➤ Name of the individual or company the trailer was sourced from (optional).
Step 4: Save
Click Add to finish setup.
